Charge: The Undergraduate Curriculum Council shall report to and advise the Provost on matters concerning the undergraduate curriculum, new programs, graduation requirements, syllabi requirements, and related curricular issues. Charge to Committee given by Provost; recommendations from Committee presented to Provost.
Membership & Reporting: Elected members; Each college and Library shall have one tenured faculty member at the rank of assistant professor or higher, with the College of ARts and Sciences having 2 members (1 from Arts, 1 from Sciences). The council shall also include appointed members; Faculty Senate (voting member), the Council of Instructional Departments (ex officio), each appoint one representative annually. The registrar, SACSCOC Liaison, and the Director of the Undergraduate Advising Center shall serve as ex officio, non-voting members. The Sr. Associate Provost shall serve as chair (non-voting members) while the college faculty representative will elect a co-chair each September to preside over the meeting alongside the chair. The Faculty Senate will conduct elections for tenured faculty representatives. Department Chairs are ineligible to serve in the capacity of faculty representatives.
