Disbursement of state, federal, and institutional funding will occur no earlier than 10 days before the student's first day of class. Typically, one disbursement happens each semester. Students enrolled in either the 5-week or 8-week program(s) will receive their aid in two disbursements each semester. The first disbursement will post no more than 10 days before the first class begins, and the second disbursement will be applied approximately halfway through the semester. Disbursements of funds are applied to the student's ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ University account and credited toward any accrued charges. 

Disbursement amounts are based on the student's enrollment level. The amounts also depend on the student's eligibility for funding per the Department of Education guidelines and funding limits. 

Funds may apply to a student's account on multiple dates, depending on loan periods and class enrollment.

Why hasn't my financial aid disbursed?

There are a few reasons why a student's aid may not disburse to their account. Some of these reasons can include:

• You have outstanding Student Requirements.
• You are not enrolled half-time.
  • Half-time enrollment is 5 hours for Graduate students and 6 hours for Undergraduate students. 
  • Our office may have to adjust your budget before we can disburse your funds if you are not enrolled full-time. 
• You have not completed a Master Promissory Note and/or Entrance Counseling.
• You have not accepted your award(s).
  • To do this, visit your Banner Self-Service Account and navigate to the Financial Aid tab to view and accept your award(s).
• You are not meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP).
