Born in Vietnam, Anh immigrated with her family to the U.S. and settled in Seattle, WA in 1995. She and her family moved to the Beaumont area in late 2021 and started working at the Global Education Center shortly after. She enjoys helping students achieve their global educational aspirations. Outside of work, Anh treasures time with her family, camping, travelling and exploring global gastronomic experiences.
Mr. Bemelen has been a member of the GEC since 2022. Originally from the Netherlands, he immigrated to the United States and has spent most of his life since in Southeast Texas. He is an active member of professional organizations including NAFSA, AIEA, the Southern Political Science Association, the American Political Science Association, and the World Affairs Council of Greater Houston.
Mr. Bemelen has presented and been invited to present at both regional and national conferences across the United States, and in Texas, through organizations such as American Political Science Association (APSA), Association of International Education Administrators (AIEA), and NAFSA:Association of International Educators. His presentations and research focus primarily on public policy, immigration and migration trends, and national security.
In his spare time, Mr. Bemelen enjoys spending time with his wife, son and dog, exploring new cities and cuisines, and supporting the Netherlands National Football Team.
