TimelyCare offers students free mental health support, 24/7 virtual counseling

ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ University students have round-the-clock access to virtual mental health and wellness services through a partnership with TimelyCare, an online counseling and health platform designed to support students wherever they are.Students Talking

The service, funded through student fees, is available at no cost to students taking classes on campus. Students enrolled exclusively in online courses are also eligible, though they must first contact the Student Health Center to activate their accounts.

TimelyCare provides several types of support aimed at addressing both immediate and ongoing mental health needs. Through its TalkNow feature, students can connect on demand with a mental health professional at any time to discuss emotional concerns, stress, or crises. The platform also allows students to schedule counseling appointments with licensed providers at times that fit their schedules.

In addition to counseling, TimelyCare offers health coaching services, which connect students with nutritional specialists and wellness professionals who can assist with sleep habits, nutrition, time management, and other lifestyle factors that affect overall well-being.

“TimelyCare is one of the most beneficial services offered to our students because they offer 24/7 virtual support to students for counseling, crisis mental health support, wellness coaching, and so much more right from their phone app,” Assistant Director of Health Education Jayna Bonette said. “Our students that use this platform have truly loved the self-care journeys as well that they can utilize at their own pace, whether it be grounding exercises, time management skills, or sleep help. It’s a great option to use daily and when you need someone to talk to, especially if the Student Health Center is closed.”

Students can register by visiting the TimelyCare portal and activating an account using their ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ University email address. After signing in, students complete a brief profile with medical background information to help providers understand their needs. Once registration is complete, services are available immediately.

University officials say the partnership reflects ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ’s ongoing efforts to expand access to mental health resources and reduce barriers to care, particularly for students balancing academic demands, work, and personal responsibilities.
