The performance is scheduled from 7 to 10:30 p.m. in Rothwell Recital Hall, located inside the Susan and Jimmy Simmons Music Building.

Set over the course of a single day, “Le Nozze di Figaro” follows Figaro and Susanna as they prepare for their wedding while navigating a series of comedic obstacles involving their employer, Count Almaviva. The count’s attempts to pursue Susanna, along with disguises, mistaken identities and shifting alliances among servants and nobility, drive the fast-paced plot. Ultimately, the opera explores themes of love, forgiveness and class dynamics, as the characters confront jealousy and deception before reaching a resolution.

The production will be performed in Italian with English surtitles projected for the audience and will feature student performers from ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ University’s music program.

Admission is free and open to the public.
